Yes, I will replace my Moto Q with the new Iphone
This is the iPhone I waited for.
Last July, my contract with A.T.&T. was up and I debated the iPhone for several days before getting a Samsung A727 3G phone. I like the phone, especially the rebated price of $49! BUT, it ain't an iPhone.
At $199, the new iPhone is something I will buy. In July, I will have 1 year remaining on my current contract, so I'm interested to see what kind fo deal I can get going to a new 2 year plan and an iPhone 3G.
I love Apple's inventiveness; however, hate the relationship with AT&T having exclusive U.S. rights. I'd love to have this phone, but alas, just another (pretty friggin' awesome) gadget that big-brother has his hands on.
AMEN!!!
so get a hack for another network! my current iphone plan is through verizon.
Don't own one, and don't see any reason to buy one now.
No, until they get off of the ATT network, I won't have one. ATT at least in my area is one of the worst networks going. They need to get out of their exclusive ATT contract and make it available to other carriers
I agree completely. That's the reason I didn't buy one when they first came out and it's the reason I'm not going to buy one now.
I'll switch back from Verizon if there is a reasonable family plan to go with the four iPhones I'll need.
I have the iTouch and love it!! Unfortunately I had nothing but problems in the past with AT&T/Cingular. Won't buy the phone until/if they move away from them.
Just another status quo symbol. They should have them implanted into their frontal lobes so that they dont spill their starbucks while trying to navigate the things.
I can't stand AT&T, based on the wretched service I experienced with them prior to switching to Verizon. Therefore, would not even consider buying the new phone as long as it continues to be sold with exclusive ties to AT&T. If they start selling it with Verizon service, then I'll buy one in a flash.
I would love to buy the new I-Phone if AT&T was not a part of the package. I love was Apple has done, but I was also with AT&T for years and will not be returning anytime soon. Sorry Jobs.
I'm already with AT&T, when 3G is available, it is great! I already own a MacBook (replaced a Vista-infected Toshiba laptop last December) so it will be nice to get an iPhone. As soon as I can place the order, I will do so.
I would only buy the phone if they would offer it thru various carriers. I like my current carrier and would not change just because of a new hot phone. I think Apple needs to step back from the At&t deal and allow other carriers in the US to distribute/service the phone. They are losing potential customers and not allowing themselves to take advantage of the full market.
I will get one (probably more for family) now. AT&T in my area is an improvement on Cingular. I held out buying an iPod because I didn't want two devices. Now that the device is 8gig on 3G it makes sense to simplify and not spend an exorbitant amount of money. I'm very excited!
I own an iPhone. I love it. I wonder if there will be any incentive for current owners to purchase one?
Club Nokia Stores in Europe are really more advanced than walking into a
Apple Computer Store. I think Apple should focus on either making a new
store solely for these iphones and creating a CLUB like Nokia has already
made for their customers.
F.Y.I. history in the technology business
tells us the minute you spread out in too many directions you have to remember
to keep your competitive edge. KEEP IT SIMPLE!
Apple is fabulous in marketing their computers
and I really don't know how long the iphone will keep up with the other technologies
that are emerging in the very near future in phone 3G technologies and beyond.
Hope this information is helpful
About 5 months ago I bought the first Apple iphone and paid $499.00
Now they want me to pay $299.00 dollars more because they came out with a new
one. Why can"t I upgrade the one I paid $499.00 for and have the new features. All they want is our money so they keep changing things.
I won't buy the new one, and I don't think other people with the first Iphone will either, unless they
more money then sense.
I have the current 8 gig; will buy the newer 16 gig--younger bro will get the current phone...
Kind of have to laugh at all of those $500+ listings on eBay for the current model, though, don't ya??
So let me get this straight?
Lower the price of the phone $200 but raise the monthly cell phone contract minimum $10 bucks. Two years x $10 a month additional cost equals NO SAVINGS over the life of the contract and a $40 LOSS for the consumer.
No thank you Apple. Great phone thats sucks because of predatory pricing scheme.
The phone is great, the more expensive, two-year commitment to AT&T is a downer. I had thought of buying one, but not now. I won't be part of the 10 million who will buy one by 2008.
Been on ATT for a decade and have no complaints. I'll be getting a 3g iphone the 2nd or 3rd week of July!
If the phone were available to Sprint...I would purchase it.
I'd really love to have one, but having to switch to AT&T is a real hurdle. We'll have to see...
I would purchase one if it were made available to Sprint customers...AT&T doesn't work for me.
Jobs is an idiot for not opening to all cell phone networks, I had AT&T and coverage was poor, went to verizon, been happy ever since. I know many people that feel te same way about AT&T, he would meet his quota easily if he would open to all carriers, what was he thinking??
When the phone is available through Sprint/Nextel, then I will buy one, also if Verizon gets it, will switch to their service. Contract up in 3/09 with Sprint
