Next week, the world's largest video game conference will descend on Los Angeles for the 15th annual Electronic Entertainment Expo ("E3" in gamer speak). While video games have matured a lot in recent years to include non-traditional players, many still consider the show as "for gamers, by gamers." In that sense, these are the known games that invoke a bevy of involuntary thumb twitches.
Which games do you hope to see come out of this year's E3?

MASS EFFECT 2!!
FFXIII!!

Sadly though, RPG's seem to be declining. Everyone wants push X as fast as you can ones :(
#4 - Fri May 29, 2009 11:00 AM EDTMario RPG for super nintendo was still one of my favorites in this genra simply because it had the option to block/dodge based on player timing. That took a lot of the feelings of "the RNG hates me" out of the genra and I'd love to see that aspect in more RPGs
I love full-blooded RPG's, so I feel your pain.
fribbit: I agree. I loved Mario RPG, even though it was silly. My favorites back then,were the FF series but I still haven't shelled out the money yet for a PS3.
I bought a PS3 and haven't been disappointed yet. =) (I also have a 360 and a Wii though. >_>)

I also want to hear more about I Am Alive. All we have so far is the trailer from Ubi's E3 08 presentation.

YES. Elder Scrolls 4 was the best game I've ever played. I started in April '08 and still have about a THIRD of the game to do!!! I play often, about 6-12 hours a week on average. The same with Fallout 3, a new version of that would be great as well.
Also, Diablo III and a new verson of Baldurs Gate for the PS3 would be awseome.
I dunno about Fallout 3. I could never get into Fallout the same way I got into Oblivion.
I finished everything in Oblivion/Knights of the Nine/Shivering Isles, and I was extremely satisfied with it. Fallout just didn't provide that same sort of fun that I got from ES4.
But that's my opinion. I would like a new ES game, though.
1) Mafia II looks intriguing - the released screenshots and trailers look beautiful.
2) I've been waiting for L.A. Noire for quite some time and it looks to be stalled, or dead - it would be great to hear it's fate.
3) Assasin's Creed II in medieval Italy looks like an amazing sequel to a terrific first game.
4) Red Dead Redemption - a GTA IV open-sandbox in the Wild West - might be the first widely popular Western-based video game.
5) Modern Warfare II - I'm planning nothinng else for the month of November : - )
